Frequently Asked Questions

Are there springs on the land?

Yes! Saratoga Springs is home to naturally carbonated mineral springs. Often called "soda springs" or "Champagne Springs", these are a geological rarity. Our 260 acres are dotted with small, effervescent outlets that produce naturally fizzy, mineral-rich water. This water—historically prized for its restorative properties—is the lifeblood of our property. We collect it to feed our swimming pool, our lush gardens, and our communal hot tub (which we heat for your comfort), allowing you to soak in the same "healing waters" that have drawn visitors to this valley since the 1870s.

Can I come take a look at the site?

Yes! However, we have to schedule the visit in between our groups. To maintain the safety and privacy of our groups events, we cannot accommodate unscheduled day visits. Please fill out the form on our contact page to let us know what type of event you're wishing to create, and we'll help you setup a visit.

Do you only host group events?

We love hosting groups of all sizes, however, due to the size of our center, we are a venue for groups and do not offer individuals retreats. If you are interested in an individual retreat, you may want to check in with Harbin Hot Springs in Middletown, Orr Hot Springs Resort in Ukiah or Mandala Springs Resort in Cobb.

Can I come up for just one day?

Yes, we'll host groups for single day events! As with all events and visits - To maintain the safety and privacy of our groups events - your visit date must be booked and managed through our site coordinator in advance. We cannot accommodate unscheduled day visits. Please fill out the form on on Contact page for the quickest information and a quote.

What should I bring?

Love! But to answer you fully - please check with your group organizer for the best answer to your questions. Saratoga Springs holds the space, but does not organize your event, therefore we do not know what is expected of you, or what you should bring.

That being said - Think of it as a camping trip.

  • We ALWAYS suggest sunscreen and a canteen - you can fill it up at many locations on the property.
  • Shoes - bring at least flip flops for general wandering - barefoot isn't suggested outside the pool pavilion.
  • If you plan to hike - appropriate shoes, socks, long pants, hat, and a long-sleeved layer for warmth while sitting at view spots in winter, or to protect from the sun year round.
  • Pool Towel - though if you forget you may rent one for $5.

I'm flying in. How do I get there from...

San Francisco:

You can take the GROOME shuttle to Sonoma County Airport > SWITCH to the MTA Northbound Route 65 CC Rider and it will take you to the Ukiah Pear Tree Center > From there it's about 30 minutes to Saratoga Springs. You'll need to organize a ride with someone from your Organization, or Saratoga may have a staff memeber that can request in advance to shuttle you for $70.

The MTA Northbound hours are limited, to be sure to check those schedules out in advance.

Sacramento: You will need to organize a ride with or through your Group Organization.

Uber and Lyft are not reliable this far north.

What are the closest grocery stores?

Ukiah, 30 minutes, has the most options. Local Co-Op, Safeway, Raley's, Costco ect.

Lakeport is 15 minutes and has a Local, Employee run store named "Brunos", there is also a small natural foods store, a Safeway, Grocery Outlet.

If you need only to make a grocwery stop, there is also Marval Sentry, a local mart in Upper Lake, as well.

Instacart will deliver groceries here, but be sure you clear that with your group first.

Can I charge my electric car?

You can! At this time we have only slow chargers, for $25/charge a day. Only some locations are both near parking and can handle the load without blowing breakers. You should check with your group organization before parking in a spot that may be assigned to someone else.

That being said, there are indicators on the outlets you can use:

Cottage 1 Porch Cottage 2 Porch Cottage 5 Porch Small pump house near cabin 5 The Pool House

I have an RV, do you have hookups?

We have 8 spots for RVs. Electrical hook up, only, for $25/day. We do not have septic or water hookup.

You do not book these spots through Saratoga Springs, but do let your Group Organizer know you'll be planning to RV and hookup.
