Nature and Exploration
Beyond the lodges lies the land: Guests can find stillness on our stone labyrinth, explore miles of hiking trails, or find community by our 60ft swimming pool and hot tub under the stars.
Mineral Pool, Hot Tub, and Pavillion
The sunny center of the property, our 60' x 30', 7' deep mineral water pool, and 4' deep hot tub offer a space for physical and mental restoration. Fed by the same effervescent mineral veins that created our historic towers, these pools offers a rare chance to literally immerse yourself in the landscape.
A quiet sanctuary for soaking under the stars, the hot tub offers a deep, consistent warmth that is particularly restorative after a day of hiking or workshops.
The attached Pool Pavillion is a large shaded structure perfect for pool parties, or just hanging out in the pool area for those who don't want to jump in.
Our Pool House offers outdoor showers for warmer seasons, and two indoor, heated bathroom/shower combinations for use all year round.
The Stone Labyrinth
Hand-laid with a mix of local stones gathered from our own hills, and gifted stones for this project, The Stone Labyrinth is an invitation to slow down. Unlike a maze designed to confuse, the labyrinth is a single, winding path — A tool for moving meditation that has been used for centuries to find clarity and center. Whether you walk it to seek an answer or simply to enjoy a moment of quiet focus, the Labyrinth offers a grounding transition from the busy world into the peaceful pace of the valley.
The Springs, and the Living Mineral Tower
While many are familiar with volcanic hot springs, the waters at Saratoga Springs offer a different kind of magic. Our springs are naturally carbonated—effervescent and cool—rising from deep underground with a unique mineral signature.
As this "bubbly" water reaches the surface, it releases carbon dioxide, causing minerals like calcium and magnesium to crystallize and settle. Over decades and centuries, these minerals have built upward, layer by layer, creating multiple, textured, sculptural "towers" found along our hillsides. These formations are a rare glimpse into a slow-motion geological process that is still actively in progress; they are essentially the land building itself. Walking among them, you can hear the rhythmic trickle of the water as it continues its ancient work, constantly shaping the landscape of the valley.
The springs feed the pool and hot tub, and gardens.
Hiking, Valleys, and View Points
Don't forget your hiking boots, sunscreen and water! Part of being free to wander the property includes checking out our hiking trails. Winding away from the central spaces, the trails lead you through shaded groves and up the slopes of this 280 acre retreat center. Past native landscapes with Madrones, Oaks, Doug Firs and more, these paths follow the land’s natural contour and lead to expansive valley views. The shortest hike (5 minutes) will get you a view of the hills and Saratoga Springs from Power Point - the plateau in the center of the valley. For a longer hike (about an hour) North Ridge Trail takes you to the highest viewpoints and gives views all the way to ClearLake.
